Workshop in Museu do Açude

Hugo França and staff were kindly invited by Museu do Açude, in Rio de Janeiro, to give a 3-day workshop. Art, Design, Interior Design and Elementary School classes participated in the event. The idea of the workshop consisted in using the trees that felled during the heavy rains in the first semester of 2010 and transforming them into public furniture. The pieces produced during the workshop are now part of the museum collection and are located in its outdoor area as a reference to the trees that once there stood. This event is part of the Project developed by Atelier Hugo França of using discarded urban trees.
