New bench at Burle Marx Park

The administrator of Burle Marx Park, in São Paulo, Aron Birmann Foundation, invited Hugo França to carve a piece using a huge dead tree trunk. This tree fell on Jan 19th in the park. On Feb 5th, Hugo França and his team carved the bench in loco. The piece was then donated to the park and placed by the designer at a spot a few meters away from where the original tree used to stand. And there, a new young tree of the same species was planted. This action is part of a project of the designer to produce urban furniture using trees felled in the city.
