Here the artist revisits her origins, exploring the aridity of the land as a metaphor for strength and learning, finding in the deepest layers of her homeland, the elements that shaped her trajectory. Her creations reflect the cultural richness by blending the backcountry tradition with the symbolism of nature, establishing a deep connection between the people of the backcountry and society.

Jardim de Vênus invites the public to immerse themselves in the creative universe of the artist, who transforms elements of nature into artistic beings, creating a setting of deep beauty and connection with the natural environment.
The venue is transformed into a cosmic garden, where shapes and textures invite the viewer to explore the mystery of each artwork. The exhibition features a diverse set of languages and materials, with sculptures in ceramic and bronze, photographs and a live performance at the opening of the show.

The DENTRO/FORA exhibition aims to show the trajectory of an artist who had to and wanted to set up her studio in the four corners of the world, from her first solo exhibition, to the present day.
Frida Baranek produces artworks with a deeply personal resonance, created from her own memories. We can experience the exhibition as the intimate diary of a female artist (with all the difficulties this still represents), who is nourished by all the influences of the cultures in which she was immersed.

The Galeria Hugo França, in partnership with Nara Roesler, presents a solo exhibition by Raul Mourão, who for more than three decades has been building a portfolio that has as its starting point the gaps between the public and the private, the street, the studio and the dynamics of the city and art.
Despite the monumental size of some of the works, the main issue is not weight or brutality, but rather balance, and the possibility of movement and care. A small gesture from the viewer is enough for the entire mass to move, allowing the lines of the steel structure to intersect and create visual confusion.

Casanova Sorolla's solo exhibition officially launches the Artistic Residency Program at Galeria Hugo França.
The cliffs, inspiring places that connect the works in the exhibition, are present in photographs, videos, performances, drawings, paintings and sculptures. The dialogue established by the coexistence of the pieces links the mineral matrix in common between them, in a kaleidoscopic dance of echoes.

VIVER É UM RASGAR-SE E REMENDAR-SE
Collective exhibition that brings together, for the first time, the artistic diversity of eight women who have lived in Trancoso for decades, and who have the constant reframing of their trajectories as a common point.
Curated by Isa Castro, the exhibition features dozens of canvases with different approaches, textures and languages, created by Ana Laranjeira, Camile Soares, Claudia Lemos, Leda Lima, Marta Meyer, Patricia Gudmundsson, Paula Blache and Selma Guedes (in memory). Between brushstrokes or application of clay, plants and other raw materials, each artwork reflects the poetic intensity of these women, who, like any human being, tear themselves apart, mend themselves and live their stories.

Pontos de vista offers the viewer multiple possibilities of looking and walking through the works. Through works that oscillate between sculpture, painting and installation, it takes advantage of a broad architecture open to its surroundings to bring together artists whose research is based on relational inquiries between the public and the work as an experience in space.
The exhibition features artworks by Dudu Santos, Lydia Okumura, Regina Vater and Charbel-Joseph H. Boutros.

Most of the exhibition is made up of unusual portraits of memorable personalities of Trancoso, Bahia, which were taken during the pandemic. During that period, many were isolated and had to, at some point, learn to deal with loneliness.
The work of the young artist compasses photography, poetry and painting.

CARLOS VERGARA
Bringing together sculptures in weathering steel, monotypes, pictures and scarves with new prints, the exhibition presents the multiplicity of Carlos Vergara's work and his constant reinvention of languages, materials and techniques, carried out over more than five decades dedicated to art.
Among the highlights of the exhibition are the scarves printed with images created by the artist, produced especially for the occasion.
